Being with your Body

Would you rather have an experience of your body or of your thoughts and feelings about your body? We have a choice to become present with our bodies, to receive directly from them, to release the objectification of them.  We've been taught how to think and feel about our bodies.  None of it is true, it's all ideas, concepts, and subjective views based on the one viewing it.  It's not about thinking better about your body, it's about releasing thoughts about it.  Be with it, feel it, engage directly with it.  As you do you'll come to realize that your body is the presence of unconditional love, here, being, breathing, circulating energy, in a dynamic flow of living.  Even that is just an idea, however it can point you in the direction of what is true.  What if your body makes you right for everything you think and feel about it?  Are you willing to have a completely different experience of your body?  There is love there, and there is wisdom, just waiting for you to tune in and become curious.  What if you've never actually had an experience of your body?  You've had feelings based on thoughts you have about it.  Some thoughts feel better than others.  Some thoughts bring you closer to what is true.  If you knew that your body was here for you completely what would that change about how you be with it?

Our bodies have been locked into realities such as this necessity to make them healthy, fix them, change them, improve them.  When the pressure comes off the transformation truly begins.  Our bodies finally will have room to breathe and express and regain flexibility and capacity to change and heal and find their homeostasis.  You don't have to heal your body, be with your body and allow the healing to take place.  It's a subtle shift, yet changes everything. We have become over responsible, in trying to get it right, eat the right things, move in the correct ways.  When that dynamic changes and you chose to be with your body the information will be given.  The food that is most nurturing will become obvious, many cravings will cease, and this fixation on health will dissipate.  Health is restored when the pressure and fight subsides.  The presence of consciousness, which is you, being with your body allows your body to show up differently.  You'll notice deeper breathing, relaxation, a calmness.  You don't have to do so much work to be healthy.  Being with your body creates this communion that allows what you're truly looking for and desiring to show up.  Begin with the curiosity.  What would it be like to be with your body?  Wonder what it would be like to have fewer thoughts and feelings about it.  Be with it, wondering, begin where you are and more of what you truly desire shall be given.
