It doesn't actually make sense to hold or maintain an image of your body. An image implies that something is still, static and fixed. The body is anything but this! It is a dynamic, living organism that is always in motion. Your heart is beating, your blood is flowing, all the body systems are active. So to impose an "image" onto your body for how you want it to be, or how it should be is not the way to go if you would like to improve your relationship or way of being with your body. What if your body has consciousness? If the consciousness of your body could speak, what would it be saying? Since you are your body, what are you saying to yourself from the perspective of the body?
Now is the time to radically change how we interact, respond and be with our bodies. Even getting fixated on how you think or feel about your body is actually a separation from it. Instead, you can acknowledge that your body is you, an expression of your consciousness in form. Thus "it" has wisdom and awareness that has been gained from the perspective of being incarnate that can become available to you. Labels become tricky because often we are identified with the mind as who we are, and the body as what we are dealing with, and our higher self or spirit as something possibly guiding us and giving messages. We are only beginning to change the identification and be able to view life from the perspective of our mind, body and higher self or expanded or "eternal" perspective. As we're less identified with the mind as who we are, we can be all that we are, and include everything as us, thus transforming what was previously full of confusion, division, domination/submission, victim/control and potentially all sorts of other dynamics into something that is whole, integrated and capable of something that has never before been possible. Something that we may not ever truly be able to define. So, are you ready to let go of any body images you are holding onto? Is now the time to get to know your body in a whole new way, which is ultimately getting to know you in a whole new way? So much change is possible now that can really transform everything.
